About the Director - Matthew Colledge LLB(Hons), ACA, CIA, CFE
Following the completion of a law degree, Matthew Colledge became a qualified Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Further qualifications in internal auditing and fraud examination have since followed.
During his ten years in accountancy, Matthew has worked with businesses of all sizes ranging from turnovers of �5,000 a year to US$40bn. Matthew has worked in five countries in four continents, including a two and a half year stint in Melbourne, Australia. Matthew has also worked in London and has undertaken assignments in Tokyo, Boston, Sydney and Singapore.
Work undertaken is similarly wide ranging with assignments being conducted in the following areas:-
� external audit;
� internal audit;
� fraud reviews and detection;
� due diligence;
� statutory and management accounts preparation;
� technical IFRS work;
� book keeping;
� taxation;
� forecasting; and
� business advisory.
Matthew began his career with a �Big 4� accountancy practice in London and has previously worked in business in Leicester. Additionally Matthew gained second tier accountancy firm experience in Melbourne and has commercial experience in London and the South West of England.
Matthew has either worked (or audited companies) with a wide variety of business systems from basic Excel spreadsheets, via Sage Line 50 and Quicken, to SAP and Hyperion.
Away from work Matthew maintains a sense of humour by attending Leicester City matches and playing sport. Also, where possible, travel also makes the list.
